About us

Our Programs

  • Matched Savings – Midas is a leader in Matched Savings Programs, also known as IDA accounts, by serving as a program administrator for non-profit organizations. We work alongside our Community Partner Organizations, providing technical support and asset-building expertise, adding capacity and connecting organizations with resources.

  • Workforce Development – Through the Financial Empowerment Learning Institute (FELI) and in partnership with United Way, leads a statewide workforce development initiative that equips nonprofit professionals in the personal finance sector with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-impact financial coaching across Massachusetts. In 2024, FELI launched a pilot training initiative to professionalize community-based coaching, reduce coach attrition, and improve outcomes in disinvested communities. For the first time, FELI partnered with the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE)® to provide foundational training for new or previously untrained nonprofit staff.

Our Coalitions

  • Financial Empowerment Network (FEN) is a dynamic coalition dedicated to advancing financial literacy and capability across Massachusetts. We bring together public and private stakeholders, including financial educators, providers, community organizations, and passionate advocates, to foster economic stability and empowerment for all residents.
  • Assets For Opportunity Coalition – Co-led by United Way of Massachusetts Bay the coalition brings together advocates, practitioners, and those with lived experience to advocate for the Matched Savings and Baby Bonds Bills which allows participants to save for their children’s futures and personal goals such as a down payment on a home, small business, education, payment on existing debt, moving cost, and others. Asset building empowers participants to be financially independent.
