Our board | Hildebrand is governed by a nine-person Board of Directors; the current Board is a diverse group of individuals dedicated to helping end family homelessness. The current Board Chair is the VP of Clinical Development at a local pharmaceutical company. The Board includes the current Pastor of the St. Paul AME Church in Cambridge (Hildebrand was founded in 1988 by St. Paul AME Church); a Client Relationship Manager at TD Bank; a principal in A&B Accounting, an accounting and financial management company; a commercial real estate developer; a former Mayor of Cambridge and Massachusetts State Senator; an urban planner; a Senior Community Partnerships & Development Specialist at Cambridge Trust Company; and a real estate development consultant. This diverse group of individuals provide governance and fiduciary oversight to Hildebrand, and also assist with fundraising. |

Position | Hildebrand is looking for Board members who are passionate about the issue of family homelessness, committed to Hildebrand's vision that every family has a home, dedicated to diversity and social justice, and connected to the community. Hildebrand partners with families experiencing homeless and provides shelter, permanent housing, comprehensive supportive services, and life skills development. Hildebrand operates 135 units of shelter for families experiencing homelessness along with 11 units of permanent housing and last year, helped over 1,000 individuals who were experiencing homelessness, over 600 of whom were children. Each family receives case management, supportive services, community resources, and housing search support until they are ready to move out of shelter and into permanent homes. Hildebrand’s Stabilization Services team then continues to work with the family for another two years, to ensure they stay stably housed. Hildebrand's Board of Directors provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance to the organization, and supports Hildebrand's staff and families to ensure that the mission and vision are realized for each and every family. |
