Our board

The Board of Directors of the nonprofit Cyrus E. Dallin Art Museum currently comprises five individuals including a president, secretary/clerk and interim treasurer.  The board strives to ensure community support and finances that make possible the broadest goals of the museum. They focus on development goals to ensure that it can continue to educate the public on the timeless and invaluable contributions of the genius for whom the museum is named, an artist revered and respected by those who know him around the globe, who made Arlington his family’s home.

Position

The Dallin Museum is in search of a volunteer Social Media Outreach Coordinator to manage and grow our online engagement across multiple platforms. With insightful, well-written content and carefully curated imagery, you will help the Museum further its mission to raise awareness about Cyrus Dallin's art and values and promote a more inclusive understanding of history.


Responsibilities:


Assessing best practices or opportunities for innovation by assessing the work of peer institutions
Defining a clear content strategy to reach and grow key target audiences
Developing and posting engaging cross-channel content
Creating a content calendar and scheduling content for publication
Generating inventive campaigns to support fund raising or other Museum objectives
Documenting key hashtags and trends to engage with on social media
Monitoring success of posts and campaigns
Monthly progress reporting to Board of Trustees

When Our Board of Trustees meet once a month, typically on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

Commitment 5 to 7 hours/month
Donation Organization strives for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
Requirements

We provide support and training to help you become familiar with the operations of the museum.

On-boarding

Candidate applications will be reviewed by Board members.  We are very interested in adding new board members with fresh insights and the skills we need support with.

Additional Info

This role is remote and can be undertaken from anywhere! That said, familiarity with greater Boston would be an advantage.

The Mission of the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum is to promote new insights into our shared history by exploring the life, work, and values of the celebrated, Utah-born sculptor who lived and worked in Arlington, Massachusetts for over forty years. Guided by Dallin’s own values, we seek to provide uplifting and meaningful experiences that promote a more inclusive understanding of our shared history.
