We ask all trustees to commit to these responsibilities to the best of their abilities. Training and skill development will be available as needed to assist trustees in feeling comfortable with their roles. • Understand and support the museum’s mission, policies, programs, and needs • Prepare for, attend, and participate in at least two board meetings and the annual retreat/offsite meeting each fiscal year • Make a financial contribution to the museum’s Annual Fund. While we ask trustees to consider making a minimum $1,000 gift yearly, what’s most important is having 100% trustee participation at a level that’s comfortable for each individual. • Actively participate in at least one committee (Administrative, Collections and Education, Development and Marketing, Nominating, or other special committees) • Attend, sponsor and/or purchase a table at the annual Keechong Dinner, the museum’s signature annual fundraising event • Attend at least two additional museum events each year, and invite/bring guests as appropriate • Identify and help cultivate potential donors, members and/or event sponsors who can contribute to the museum’s fundraising goals |
