Board Member – Volunteer/Outreach
|The Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Board of Directors consists of a broad cross-section of people from different domains; elected every four years by the general assembly of community members or appointed by the President as stipulated in the by-laws.
|We are looking for a competent Marketing Director to be in charge of the organization’s marketing ventures. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the Puerto Rican Festival Organization’s market presence and help it find a “voice” that will make a difference.
The ideal candidate will be a professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique marketing techniques. He/She will be a skilled marketing strategist and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.
The goal is to increase the company’s market share and maximize revenues in order to thrive against competitors.

|We strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
|Everyone who works with us, from our Board members to those who lend a helping hand during our parade, are unpaid volunteers. The source of their drive to volunteer is the passion they have for the community. We accept new volunteers on a regular basis and have a different set of volunteers serving with us at every event. Volunteers enjoy the privilege of attending an event for free, working alongside us, and free festival merchandise. It board positions serve 2-4 years; it requires to be Latino but does not have to speak Spanish. Must commit to 2 hrs per month for meetings and additional hours when we have events. The candidates will be interview by the board and they board will vote.
|We will request a vetting processing and a two recommendation letters.
|Marketing Directors develop an overall plan to promote the Puerto Rican Festival of MA and approve campaigns for promotion. They then advertise them accordingly with great precision to increase sales and build brand awareness. Supervise interns.
A Marketing Director reports to the President an VP. They also work with other teams such as graphic design, web development, sales and even accounting.
