Our board The Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Board of Directors consists of a broad cross-section of people from different domains; elected every four years by the general assembly of community members or appointed by the President as stipulated in the by-laws.
Position We are looking to hire a dedicated grant writer to write grant proposals for our organization. The grant writer will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

To ensure success you need to write well, have proficient knowledge of fundraising methods, and be committed to the mission you are representing. Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multitasking abilities.

Donation Organization strives for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
Requirements Everyone who works with us, from our Board members to those who lend a helping hand during our parade, are unpaid volunteers. The source of their drive to volunteer is the passion they have for the community. We accept new volunteers on a regular basis and have a different set of volunteers serving with us at every event. Volunteers enjoy the privilege of attending an event for free, working alongside us, and free festival merchandise. It board positions serve 2-4 years; it requires to be Latino but does not have to speak Spanish. Must commit to 2 hrs per month for meetings and additional hours when we have events. The candidates will be interview by the board and they board will vote.
On-boarding We will request a vetting processing and a two recommendation letters.

Assisting with the execution of the development department's strategy.
Identifying grant funding opportunities.
Writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals.
Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents.
Collaborating with Executive Director and Director of Development to send funders newsletters, and to promote on-site tours.
Collaborating with Director of Development to compile an annual report.
Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases.
