Board Member – Fundraising

0 Reviews
Our board Farrington Nature Linc's board provides big picture oversight and thought around the growth of the organization. The board meets in the evening, over Zoom, every 6 weeks year round. Trustees are expected to attend board meeting and participate in the work of at least one committee.
Position We are looking for Development Committee Members who have a love of nature/outdoors/the environment, are natural networkers and/or are people who live in or grew up in low-income, urban areas and are familiar with our mission based population.  We are a good committee for anyone who cares about children, nature and social justice and has fundraising, marketing, events and/or communications skills.

The Development Committee provides advice and support to the Executive Director and Development Staff around fundraising mailings and events, communication planning and execution of the plans. The organization has commit to work with Community Centric Fundraising Guidelines as we increase funds raised for the organization.

Development Committee members are not excited to be primary fundraisers but are expected to help be fundraising "cheer leaders" for the organization in encouraging other committee members and Trustees to engage.
