| On-boarding | One-year terms subject to renewal, from July 1 - June 30. However, new board members can join at any time upon election. |

| Our mission | The Friends of Young Achievers (FOYA), an independent 501c3 nonprofit created in 1999, supports the Young Achievers School’s efforts to expand high quality learning opportunities that empower its 570 students to realize their infinite potential. To meet this mission, FOYA builds partnerships, raises funds, manages grants, collaborates to develop the school budget, and builds awareness for the school’s work in the greater community. Young Achievers, a Boston Public School, is located in Mattapan; 80 percent of our kindergarten through 8th grade students are high-need. |
