Board Member
Our board | The Plugged In board is currently comprised of 9 individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experience. We are looking to increase the board to anywhere from 10-13 members with a focus on increasing fundraising, grantwriting, programming and marketing/business development experience. We currently have committees focused on finance, governance, programming, facilities, events, development and inclusion. We are different than many boards in that we have an inclusion committee as this is central feature to our organization and mission. |

Position | Plugged In Band is a non-profit music program committed to creating an inclusive, loving, and diverse community empowered to change the world. We educate musicians in a non-competitive environment, and provide band and individual performance opportunities in support of community and charitable causes. Plugged In is for kids who want to start a rock band, but either don’t know how, don’t have the confidence to do so, have no one with whom to start the band, or don’t have a place to rehearse. Through the creative and nurturing environment provided by the Plugged In program, students are encouraged to take risks in both musical performance and songwriting, which results in artistic growth and increased self-confidence. We're looking for board members to help further our mission of inclusion, community and personal growth through the power of music. |
