Our board Attendance of Board members is required at regular meetings, and fundraising events.  Board members should stay informed about committee matters, prepare for meetings and review and comment on minutes and reports.  Board members are encouraged to build a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus.

  • Monitor and strengthen advocacy and fundraising programs.

    • The Board advises on which advocacy and fundraising programs are consistent with the organization's mission, and monitors their effectiveness by reviewing outcomes and evaluating impact.



  • Financially support MSPCC.

    • The MSPCC Board of Advisors members will consider MSPCC a philanthropic priority and make annual gifts that reflect that priority.  MSPCC aims to have 100 percent of Board of Advisors members make an annual contribution that is commensurate with their capacity.  This is vital for credibly soliciting contributions from foundations, organizations and individuals.



  •  Participate in fundraising activities.

    • The Board will suggest names of prospective donors; be amenable to meeting with prospective donors capable of giving at a significant level; and support and attend MSPCC’s signature fundraising event held in April.
